Carnegie Hall Tower is a new 60 story office building adjoining the world famous Carnegie Hall. This project involved using air rights from Carnegie Hall and providing space within the new tower for use by Carnegie Hall. The need to provide space within the new building and to make it part of Carnegie Hall posed numerous Building Code challenges.

Effectively, Carnegie Hall was enlarged into Carnegie Hall Tower, creating a building within a building which required its own vertical transportation, egress, fire protection and ventilations systems. These problems were resolved by creating a horizontal and vertical fire division between Carnegie Hall Tower and the Carnegie Hall space within Carnegie Hall Tower.
