56 Leonard

Arguably the most memorable of NYC architecture and the tallest structure in Tribeca, 56 Leonard created unique challenges in bridging Swiss architecture with New York City Building Code. The landmark building, conceived by the acclaimed Herzog & de Meuron embodies a stack of individual homes and a vertical neighborhood. Each apartment features a balcony, some with 360° views of the city, including the Statue of Liberty, Empire State building and the World Trade Center.

Standing at 57 stories with 145 residential condominiums plus retail stores on the first floor and encompassing 613,000 SF of space, the demands on CCA to deliver the approvals for the outstanding designs were unprecedented. Yet the buildings developers knew to trust CCA to get the job done, on time, and that our creativity would allow for even the most demanding of plans to get approved, even in a city wrought with exacting code requirements.
